Changing Lives One Smile at a Time
I love being an orthodontist! It’s amazing how gently moving a person’s teeth into proper position can make a lasting, positive change in the person’s life. Not only do people have improved oral and overall health, but their self-esteem grows, as does their confidence, after they see their new smile emerge.
It’s a pleasure to spend my days with people who have chosen to transform their lives. Since I see patients about once a month during treatment, we have time to get to know each other. I’m always excited to hear people’s latest news, celebrate their accomplishments at school or work, and share in their lives. It’s an honor to develop close bonds with my patients and their families: I care about each as a person, and want only the best for them.
Obtaining orthodontic treatment creates an exciting time in a person’s life. I love watching how each patient changes, emotionally and physically, and being part of that process. The day we’re finished, and I show my patient the before and after photos, and they see how far they’ve come, is simply the best: They have an incredibly attractive, confident smile and they can’t stop sharing it!
My Team and Our Practice
I’m very proud of my team and all they bring to Bettagere Orthodontics. Each person is compassionate, accommodating, and experienced. Everyone makes the patient’s comfort a priority and works hard to make sure all our patients feel welcome, informed, and engaged in their treatment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Dental Science – Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – Indiana University School of Dentistry
After completing dental school, I practiced general dentistry for six years. That experience gave me insight into how I, as an orthodontist, need to work with each patient’s dentist. During treatment planning, I focus on clear communication and the person’s long-term dental health.
I returned to school at Indiana University School of Dentistry for a fellowship in orthodontics, as well as a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in dentistry.
Throughout the year, I take many continuing orthodontic education courses. This keeps me current on the latest research, technological advances, and treatment modalities. My patients deserve leading-edge care as they change their lives with a new smile. Continuing education ensures we deliver only the best!

Beyond the Practice
I’ve called Indiana home since 2002. When I’m not creating smiles, I usually spend time with my husband, who’s an IT professional, and our young son, who plays soccer and does karate. We’ve recently welcomed a new puppy to the family!
My favorite times are spent with my family and friends. I also enjoy going to the movies, gardening and cooking, decorating my house, and traveling.
